Namaste - as a sign of respect and as a simple greeting of peace. It’s how your greeted here. The Nepali people are very, very busy. They are not lazy, all seem to be on a focused mission in their day, yes it’s a very hectic lifestyle but they are also very respectful when your one on one with them. Namaste is a calming gesture, they are very adept at going from calm to all out full on chaos in a split second.
Met with our guide this morning and we needed to leave today for Lukla due to weather coming in tomorrow. Quickly packed and was taken to the airport for helicopter ride to where our trek is to begin.
All cash, $2,700 per person, I think it was counted 3 times.Helicopter Prep
Lukla had more than I would have thought, as it’s very remote deep within the Himalayas. The small village mainly exists to support the trekkers.
Dal Bhat
Many villages along the trek
Cows in the street moving supplies
Donkeys are common too
The world's most dangerous airport- Lukla
Local Seamstress
Buddhist Influence
We start our trek first thing tomorrow morning.
